Protect Playalinda Beach – Keep Public Access

The FAA is proposing new restrictions that would close public access
to Playalinda Beach for 60.5 days or more each year to accommodate
SpaceX’s Starship–Super Heavy launches at Launch Pad 39A.

This does not include scrubs, delays, or reschedules, which could
make closures even longer.

⚖️ Why This Is Wrong

  • In Boca Chica, Texas, people live and work within 2 miles of a Starship launch pad.
  • In Florida, visitors are being locked out of Playalinda Beach —
even though its access points are outside the FAA’s own 3.11-mile hazard radius.
  • This is a double standard in how launch safety rules are applied.

👉 Florida residents and visitors deserve fair and equal treatment.
