Episode #217 Adjusting Mics & Mindsets

Thad and Scott are back in the mix with a fresh episode packed with gratitude, real talk, and a few unexpected twists.

We kick things off with a huge shoutout to Indian Sizzler on US1 in Titusville, right by the old Searstown Mall. If you know, you know—the food is 🔥, and the service is next-level. Big thanks to the amazing staff who make every visit something special. 🙌🍛

We check in on the ongoing Florida drought (it’s getting crispy out there) and pull some updates from the Florida Drought Monitor. Then the convo takes a stroll down memory lane as Thad and Scott swap stories about the pranks we used to pull on family and friends back in the day—proving that mischief is truly an art form. 🎭

From there, we get into political tactics, unity, and why taking the high road still matters. Thad also lines up a surprise call with longtime friend and certified Vibe Farmer Ryan, and we dive into more crow encounters and some reflections from Misty’s call last episode.

We also talk about health, long-term wellness, and Robert Kennedy Jr.’s recent moves to ban petroleum-based food dyes. Plus, we show some love for Orlando shopping icons like Oviedo Marketplace Mall, The Mall at Millenia, and the Premium Outlets. 🛍️

And of course, Zoltar drops by to leave us with a little fortune magic. 🔮

Thanks for hanging out with us. Until next time—spread the good vibes! ✌️

Episode #215 Soil 2 Surf Spring Vibes

Recorded during a wild Florida storm—complete with hail, heavy rain, and a couple power outages—Episode 215 of Adjust the Mic features Thad & Scott holding it down while the weather added some extra drama to the mix. The thunder rumbled, & the vibes stayed strong!

Thad kicks things off by recapping an awesome weekend event where the EEARSS crew showed up in full support of the Super Bowl of Trivia hosted by the Women’s Center. Shoutout to Frank for crushing it as the MC, and to everyone who showed up—including Brevard’s new mayor and Stan Retz—for making it a huge success. Community showing up for community—just how we like it.

Out at the homestead, Thad’s been busy planting dragon fruit, prepping planters with Kyle and Sara, and putting in that early-season grind before Florida’s summer heat kicks in. Fence-mending has also been part of the mission—especially to guide the local gators away from the studio and back toward their swampy zones.

On the music front, Thad’s mixing new tracks from K8MM, T, and Rudy (who’s also been hitting the DJ decks lately). Plus, more episodes have been recorded with Che, digging into three legendary LPs. Friend and Business parnet Ryan is on new-dad duty!—his son is doing great! & he is prepping his own land for this years grow season.

Big travel news: Jonas and Misty just got back from El Salvador and had a blast! Just in time, too, as the World Surf League’s Punta Roca stop is warming up. Yago Dora just took the win in Portugal, and all eyes are now on Italo Ferreira’s electric backhand at this iconic cobblestone point break. Erin Brooks and Florida’s own World Champ, Caroline Marks, are holding it down on the women’s side. Meanwhile, Carlos Muñoz snagged the win in Barbados—hair flying, stoke high.

As Florida transitions out of winter, we’re looking for those clutch spring rains to get us through until rainy season hits in June. Controlled burns are happening now that the ground’s wet again, and local wildlife is active here on the Space Coast of Florida!

Also, shoutout to EEARSS’ newest intern, Bree (welcome aboard!) and Rudy for volunteering this past weekend. Community energy is alive and well.

Oh, and in classic Thad fashion—he’s been working on the body, feeling strong, and… taking Ivermectin to help with some butt worms! Scott talks about Methylene Blue and some other suppliments in the tool kit.

Yewwwww! Hit play and enjoy the ride.

Episode #201 Experiences & Encounters of the Local Kind

In this episode, Thad and Scott hold down the fort while sending love to our missing Colleen. We start with a nostalgic discussion about the value of catalogs in the 80s and 90s, then dive into the late 90s rave and party scene.

We wish a Happy Father’s Day to all the hardworking dads out there!

Next, we talk about the risks and thrills of exploring Florida’s underwater cave systems. At Vibe Farmer Studio, Scott and Thad had a wild boar encounter during a nature walk.

Scott also breaks down the NBA offseason, including the Orlando Magic’s options. A big trade of Alex Caruso for Josh Giddey happened between the Chicago Bulls and Oklahoma City Thunder. Thad shares a cool beach treasure find from the 90s. We end with concerns about possible closures of Playalinda Beach and the importance of supporting public access.

Thanks for listening and for your ongoing support!
